The hiring manager is on the fence. A senior engineer your recruiter loved, the panel didn't.

You know there's a 30-second stretch in the second round. The candidate walked through the production migration they led at their last company. That stretch alone would land the decision.

The 45-minute recording won't get watched. The 30-second clip will.

Metaview Snippets ships the clip. Pick the moment from the transcript, generate a shareable link with auto-captions, send it. The hiring manager opens it, watches once, replies in 90 seconds. That's the feature.

Who Snippets is for

  • Recruiters running calibration debriefs with a panel that disagrees.
  • TA leaders training new interviewers on what good looks like.
  • Anyone advocating for a candidate the hiring team is on the fence about.

Snippets gets the right 30 seconds in front of the right person. No scrubbing through the full call.

What Snippets does in plain English

Inside any interview Metaview captured, highlight a stretch of the transcript. Generate a Snippet. Send the link.

The Snippet plays back the audio and video with auto-captions and the structured AI summary alongside it. The original recording stays linked behind the clip. The recipient can expand to the full call if they want context. Most of the time, they don't.

Snippets sits inside the Notetaker workflow. Every Metaview-captured interview is a candidate for a Snippet. There's no separate setup. If Notetaker joined the call, you can clip from it.

Every interview Notetaker captures becomes a candidate for a Snippet. Highlight a stretch of the transcript and the start/end timestamps come with it.

What changes when the clip ships instead of the full call

Sharing the full recording
  • 45-minute call sits unwatched in the candidate record
  • Recruiter ends up describing the moment second-hand in Slack
  • Hiring manager forms a view without seeing the evidence
  • Calibration debriefs run on memory, not playback
Sharing the 30-second Snippet
  • Hiring manager watches the exact moment in under a minute
  • Decision lands on the same evidence the recruiter saw
  • Interviewer training references real Snippets, not anecdotes
  • Debrief converges in 5 minutes from a shared artifact
Being able to access our interviews with Metaview has actually changed hiring decisions for us on multiple occasions. If someone on my team comes to me and says, 'I don't think we should be passing on this candidate,' I have the ability to watch Snippets or the full interview and then go back to the hiring team to unpack exactly what happened. It's been a really powerful way to drive change throughout the organization."

Snippets as an interviewer-training surface

The use case that customers reach for fastest isn't calibration. It's training.

The first thing a new recruiter or hiring manager needs is what good looks like in the room. That's almost impossible to articulate in a doc. A 30-second clip of a strong probing question lands the lesson in a way the wiki never will.

Better training compounds into better quality of hire over the next few cycles.

Metaview has become a really big part of our interviewing enablement. When we have new people come on board, being able to say, 'Watch these Metaviews' has become an excellent part of our training program. Having access to those real-world examples is huge."

Metaview Reports per-competency view that pairs with Snippets for calibration debriefs
Reports rolls up the per-competency signal across panels. When the rollup surfaces disagreement, a Snippet of the moment under dispute closes the debrief in 5 minutes.

Frequently asked

Where do Snippets live in the candidate record?

Attached to the interview they're clipped from, visible on the candidate's record in Metaview and pushed to the candidate's profile in your ATS. The full recording sits behind the Snippet. The recipient can expand to the full call from the same link.

Who can see a Snippet I share?

The share link is permissioned to the people you send it to. Snippets respect the same access controls as the interviews they're clipped from: internal-only by default, candidate-visible if you explicitly route it that way.

Does this sync to my ATS?

Yes. Snippets push to the candidate record in Greenhouse, Ashby, Workday, and the rest of the Metaview integration list. Hiring managers who live in the ATS see the Snippet inline. They don't have to switch tools.

What happens to the full recording?

Stays where it was. Snippets reference the original. They don't replace it. The full interview is one click away from any Snippet for the people who want the broader context.

Snippets is live in every Metaview workspace today, inside the Notetaker workflow. Highlight the moment from any captured interview, generate the clip with auto-captions, send the link. The 30-second clip is what the hiring manager watches.
