Here's what shipped in Metaview in January.

Smarter prompts = sharper insights

Editing AI output by hand is the slowest way to fix it. You can now update and improve your prompts directly inside Custom Templates and AI Reports.

Tell the AI what you want changed. Click Improve Prompt. Your output regenerates against the new instruction, ready to use the next time the template runs.

That gets you clearer summaries of what "good" looks like, cleaner and more structured reports, and less manual editing per cycle.

Group Reports by AI-generated insights

Reports already roll interview signal into a single view. Now you can group rows by AI-generated columns. Things like:

  • Location (or remote/hybrid) preference
  • Experience level
  • Hiring manager sentiment

Supported types include numbers, currency, yes/no, and short text. (Long text, lists, and dates are on their way.)

Reports are sharper when they speak the same language as your ATS. You can now build reports with custom ATS fields: the department you're hiring for, employment type, seniority, or plenty of other options.

Coding tasks are a critical part of tech hiring. Metaview now reads code shared during screenshares and generates structured notes covering:

  • How the candidate implemented the solution
  • Code quality and structure
  • Key decisions and data structures used

Which ATSes support custom fields in Reports?

Ashby and Greenhouse are live at launch. Lever and Workday are next in the queue. If you need a different platform or specific fields enabled, email support@metaview.ai with the platform and the field names.

Does Metaview keep the code shared during a tech interview?

Yes. Captured code lives with the rest of the interview record in your Metaview workspace. Standard retention windows apply (the same as transcripts and notes), and data residency follows your workspace region setting. To wipe a specific session, your admin can delete it from Settings > Recordings.

Can I revert an Improve Prompt change if it didn't land the way I wanted?

Yes. Every prompt edit is versioned. Open the template in Custom Templates or AI Reports, click the prompt history icon, and roll back to any prior version. Each version timestamps who edited and when.

How do AI-generated Reports columns differ from columns I create manually?

Manual columns ask interviewers to fill in a field at scorecard time. AI-generated columns infer their value from the interview transcript automatically. You can mix both in one report: manual for evaluative scoring, AI-generated for signal that lives in the conversation (location, experience level, hiring manager sentiment). Both can be edited after the fact.
