We recently gave an inside look at how Lorenzo, Metaview's technical recruiter, starts every search with talent mapping to find candidates everyone else is missing. Check out all the resources he shared: his prompt to kick off calibration, an example of the output, and how to get it into your own Metaview knowledge. All it takes is ten minutes of setup, once per role, and you too can be finding the best talent available every time.

The prompt library

The prompt Lorenzo uses—including the talent map ICP calibration and the current team reverse-engineer ICP—can be found in our Metaview Prompt Library. Simply copy, paste into the Sourcing agent, fill in the blanks to add your own role context, and you’ll have your own Talent Map built in minutes. Jump to Section 4 to find Research prompts.

Building your Talent Map: How to add the calibration prompt to your Metaview knowledge

Here’s a quick step-by-step recap on how to run your talent map calibration in Metaview, then, save it to your Metaview knowledge for repeat use.

  1. Open Metaview Sourcing and click Knowledge (book icon)
  2. Choose Personal (visible only for yourself) or Workspace (visible for your whole team)
  3. Click Add New
  4. When to use: Use this when calibration is requested
  5. What to do: paste in the entire prompt
  6. Press Create
  7. In a new search, type: Let's calibrate: followed by your role context. Metaview will then guide you the entire way.
💡
Remember: we need to give Metaview as much context as possible in order for the agent to truly understand your requirements. When calibrating, also add in your Metaview conversations: the kick off call, any feedback sessions, hiring rubric, etc. Real evidence beats a well-built prompt every time.

Using your Talent Map to source: How to save your talent map to your Metaview knowledge

Once you’ve followed the above steps and built your Talent Map, now you can save it as context in your Metaview sourcing agent and use it to find more relevant candidates, with less back and forth.

  1. Open Metaview Sourcing and click Knowledge (book icon)
  2. Choose Personal (visible only for yourself) or Workspace (visible for your whole team)
  3. Click Add New
  4. When to use: Use this when searching for [role]
    1. Whichever role you have built your talent map for, add that into your knowledge when to use rule title
  5. What to do: paste in the entire Talent Map output
  6. Press Create
  7. In a new search, kick off your search using the role title you input in your knowledge: Source candidates for [role]
